  • Happy 4th!!!

It has been awhile since I wrote anything. Brain came up for a visit, we went to Cape May beach for the day and now its the 4th of July. I'm sure more things have happened between now and then but I just can't think of anything to really say. The Lord is teaching me much every day and I love Him more and more.

Oh ! I know! We were playing a game with the family and I tripped over something while running and by big toe went under my foot. Needless to say my foot has really been hurting. It is still swollen and bruised. My that was about 3 or more weeks ago. Mom wants to get it xrayed.... we will see. Training with Macco is going well. He is def. God's dog. I'm still the official taxi of the family... sometimes good and sometimes not so nice. But God was the one who helped me get my liscense.. so I'm glad I can help my family. Still doing things with photography. Not sure what God has for me or what to do next. I am taking some college courses... other than that...????

I just love the 4th of July. Thank you to all of you who have served or are serving in the USA armed forces. Very Proud to be an American. Thank you!!!

  • The Cross!!

I wasn't going to write anything, but several people encouraged me to post this. I am not a writer, but if something is on my heart and the Lord speaks to me I write. So here it goes.

We all try to live our lives by the cross. When I say this I mean that we are Christians we try to follow the Lord and serve Him with our lives. I do this as well. Yes, I fall and sin ask forgiveness and He picks me up and guides me. He takes me by the hand and says: Here my daughter go here, do this I will hold you. For just I minute I want you to close your eyes and picture 'the cross'. Yes, 'The Cross'. The Cross that our King was nailed to and died a horrible death for me and for you. Have that picture in your mind? You do? Ok, open your eyes but keep that picture in your mind. What does it look like? The cross is made up of 3 beams. One for each side- each nail pierced hand. And one long center beam. If you put to much weight on either side of the beam it will topple over. But the center beam is perfect. It leads straight to His heart and points towards heaven. Life is like the cross. You put to much weight on either side and you will topple over. Why keep falling over? The center beam balances each side and connects both sides. You will stand straight and true with the center beam.
Life is about balance!! Put to much weight on either side, your gonna fall over. I try to follow 'the cross' in the decisions I make in my life. You have to have balance in whatever it is! God never said you have to wear only brown colored fabric, and linen cloth. Serving, living, obeying God is supposed to be JOYFUL!! He gave the joy of the Lord to Christians for a reason. He didn't say the road would be easy, He said follow, and He said it would be joyful in Him. Balance is needed in every part of life.
Yes, there is RIGHT and WRONG with somethings. But don't throw out BALANCE!!! Also with balance comes this: don't force your opinion/conviction on other people. Jesus NEVER did that with us and NEVER will.
I love you all in Jesus. I hope this encourages you. I'm not a good writer or very eloquent...but I hope you hear my heart and see my analogy. Chew the meat and spit out the bones. I hope this reaches someone. So when you go walking through life think of "THE CROSS' and the BALANCE that is brings.

  • Thoughts

I know it isn't christmas, but I have been doing a lot of thinking these past couple of days. And this song came to me... I hope it makes you think as well. I have had so much going on in my life right now and I have been thinking seriously about somethings. Somethings in my life... not so good and very difficult. But I still raise my hands to the God who gives...~Ladybug~

    "While You Were Sleeping"

    Oh little town of Bethlehem
    Looks like another silent night
Above your deep and dreamless sleep
A giant star lights up the sky
And while you're lying in the dark
    There shines an everlasting light
For the King has left His throne
And is sleeping in a manger tonight

Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
    For God became a man
And stepped into your world today
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
    While you were sleeping
    While you were sleeping

    Oh little town of Jerusalem
    Looks like another silent night
The Father gave His only Son
The Way, the Truth, the Life had come
But there was no room for Him in the world He came to save

Jerusalem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
The Savior of the world is dying on your cross today
Jerusalem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
    While you were sleeping
    While you were sleeping

    United States of America
    Looks like another silent night
As we're sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we're lying in the dark
There's a shout heard 'cross the eastern sky
    For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night

America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
    Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
    Will we be sleeping
    Will we be sleeping

    United States of America
    Looks like another silent nigh

  • Spring is coming!!

Well, the wedding I was writing about in my last post went very well. Thursday Alicia and I spent most of the day & night in airports but we made it to Indy. And surprised Brian very well.
The whole weekend I don't think Alicia could stop smiling. The wedding in Kansas was beautiful. It was good to see Verity people again. I also was able to go to Starbucks for the first time.   I felt bad for my poor sister.. you see, I LOVVVVEEEEEE to fly and she doesn't. So I'm in the plane & pointing out the window saying: Look at this! Look at that! And she is just sitting there with her eyes closed. I feel sorry for people who dislike flying. Take off is AMAZING - all the power kicking in.... then looking at everything from so high up. WOW!!! God's creation is beautiful up there.. you feel closer. Anyhow, it was a good trip. However I will not lie being the 3rd person is.. interesting. It's ok though.. my sister is happy.
I would also like to thank all the people who made my birthday on Saturday special. It was a wonderful day and I felt so blessed. God has been teaching some pretty AMAZING things. I love Jesus soo very much. The Lord blessed me with warm weather ON my birthday!! He loves me!!!!
I am also very happy because I think Spring/Summer is on its way. Any of you who know me even a little bit, know how much I dislike the cold. I just am loving my Jesus... morning time with Him is so special.
     Love to all,

  • Valentines

    Mom's valentines cookies
Macco... I guess he likes roses!!!   JoyAnna Blackstone

     Hello everyone!
Our Valentines Day was very nice. Mom made a candle light dinner (tradition) with china and everything. Alicia also had a sweet valentines...she received some beautiful flowers from a special person. I can't wait till I can finally celebrate the holiday, but waiting for it will make it all the more special when I finally do. I'm very happy for my sister. Macco is learning more things every day. Saturday I took him off the leash in the back yard for the 1st time. I was really nervous about it! He did very well with staying & not running away. We are still working though. The picture above (JoyAnna) is a newborn that I went up to stay with the family to help out. Babies are the best. Next weekend Alicia and I will be going out to Indy (flying out..I LOVE to fly) and then driving down to a wedding. Fun. I LOVE to travel. Not much else is going on. I'm LONGING for my WARM weather. Spring/Summer... aahhh *sigh*
    Love to all!!!
