I wasn't going to write anything, but several people encouraged me to post this. I am not a writer, but if something is on my heart and the Lord speaks to me I write. So here it goes.
We all try to live our lives by the cross. When I say this I mean that we are Christians we try to follow the Lord and serve Him with our lives. I do this as well. Yes, I fall and sin ask forgiveness and He picks me up and guides me. He takes me by the hand and says: Here my daughter go here, do this I will hold you. For just I minute I want you to close your eyes and picture 'the cross'. Yes, 'The Cross'. The Cross that our King was nailed to and died a horrible death for me and for you. Have that picture in your mind? You do? Ok, open your eyes but keep that picture in your mind. What does it look like? The cross is made up of 3 beams. One for each side- each nail pierced hand. And one long center beam. If you put to much weight on either side of the beam it will topple over. But the center beam is perfect. It leads straight to His heart and points towards heaven. Life is like the cross. You put to much weight on either side and you will topple over. Why keep falling over? The center beam balances each side and connects both sides. You will stand straight and true with the center beam.
Life is about balance!! Put to much weight on either side, your gonna fall over. I try to follow 'the cross' in the decisions I make in my life. You have to have balance in whatever it is! God never said you have to wear only brown colored fabric, and linen cloth. Serving, living, obeying God is supposed to be JOYFUL!! He gave the joy of the Lord to Christians for a reason. He didn't say the road would be easy, He said follow, and He said it would be joyful in Him. Balance is needed in every part of life.
Yes, there is RIGHT and WRONG with somethings. But don't throw out BALANCE!!! Also with balance comes this: don't force your opinion/conviction on other people. Jesus NEVER did that with us and NEVER will.
I love you all in Jesus. I hope this encourages you. I'm not a good writer or very eloquent...but I hope you hear my heart and see my analogy. Chew the meat and spit out the bones. I hope this reaches someone. So when you go walking through life think of "THE CROSS' and the BALANCE that is brings.
